GLOW Community Guidelines

Effective date: July 10, 2026 · Last updated: July 10, 2026 · Operated by: Glow · Support: support@glowsocial.app

1. About These Guidelines

1.1 What GLOW is. GLOW is an 18-and-over ("18+"), invite-to-view live-streaming and short-form video application (the "App" or "Service") operated by Glow, a company organized under the laws of Canada. GLOW operates a "CLEAN lane": a moderated environment in which no explicit sexual content is permitted, regardless of the ages or consent of the people involved.

1.2 Purpose of this document. These Community Guidelines (the "Guidelines") state what conduct and content are allowed on GLOW, what is prohibited, and how Glow enforces the rules. They apply to every person who accesses or uses the Service in any capacity.

1.3 Relationship to other documents. These Guidelines are part of, and incorporated by reference into, the Terms of Service. They work alongside the Privacy Policy, the Creator Agreement, the Biometric Data & Verification Consent and Retention Schedule, the Safety & Moderation Policy, the Coins Terms, and the Modeling Marketplace Terms. If a specific rule in these Guidelines conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service govern, except where these Guidelines impose a stricter standard, in which case the stricter standard applies. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.

1.4 Plain-language intent. We write these rules in plain language so they are easy to follow and easy to enforce. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, treat it as not allowed and contact support@glowsocial.app before posting.

1.5 We may update these Guidelines. Glow may revise these Guidelines. Material changes will be notified through the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the updated Guidelines.

2. Defined Terms

For these Guidelines:

3. Eligibility and Core Commitments

3.1 You must be 18+. The Service is strictly for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or older where local law requires) to access or use any part of the Service. There is no "minor with parental consent" pathway. Minors are prohibited from the Service entirely, whether as Users, as subjects of Content, or in any other capacity.

3.2 Geographic limits. At launch, the Service is available worldwide except the European Union, and is geo-blocked in jurisdictions where the Service or its content is illegal and in sanctioned jurisdictions. You may not use technical means (for example, a VPN or proxy) to evade geo-blocking or to access the Service from a restricted location.

3.3 Your baseline agreement. By using the Service you agree to: (a) follow these Guidelines; (b) be truthful in verification and in your Content; (c) respect other Users; and (d) obey all laws that apply to you.

4. No Explicit Content (CLEAN Lane)

4.1 Zero-tolerance standard. GLOW does not permit Explicit Sexual Content anywhere on the Service — not in public streams, not in Shorts, not in profiles, not in Paid DMs, and not in Private Sessions. Payment, consent, or a "private" setting does not make otherwise-prohibited content permitted. Private does not mean unmoderated (see Section 9).

4.2 "Explicit Sexual Content" means, without limitation:

4.3 Not-permitted "borderline" conduct. The following are also prohibited even if they stop short of Section 4.2: (a) removing clothing on request for Coins, tips, or Gifts; (b) offering to "go further" in a Private Session or off-platform; (c) sexual role-play performed for an audience; and (d) using suggestive camera angles, props, or lighting to imply an off-screen sexual act.

4.4 What is generally allowed. Ordinary swimwear, workout wear, and everyday clothing; talking, singing, gaming, cooking, fitness, chatting, and similar lawful non-explicit activities are allowed, provided they are not used as a vehicle for the prohibited conduct above and comply with the rest of these Guidelines and with Apple App Store requirements.

4.5 Nudity for non-sexual purposes. Because GLOW is a general-audience 18+ app subject to platform (including Apple App Store) rules, nudity is not permitted even where it might be considered non-sexual (for example, artistic or educational nudity). Do not post it.

4.6 We may be stricter than the law. Content can violate these Guidelines even if it is legal where you are. Our CLEAN standard is a private-platform standard, not a legal minimum.

5. No Solicitation, No Off-Platform Diversion, No Commercial Sexual Services

5.1 No sexual solicitation. You may not offer, request, arrange, advertise, or facilitate sexual acts, sexual content, or "adult services" of any kind in exchange for Coins, money, Gifts, or anything of value. This prohibition applies whether the exchange would occur on or off the Service.

5.2 No off-platform diversion for prohibited purposes. You may not use the Service to route Users to other platforms, sites, links, handles, or payment channels in order to provide, sell, or obtain content or services that these Guidelines prohibit (for example, "find me on [other site]," posting links to explicit accounts, or sharing external payment or "tip" handles to continue a prohibited interaction elsewhere). General, non-prohibited cross-promotion of your own lawful social accounts may be allowed subject to Section 7 and any Creator rules; when in doubt, do not post links.

5.3 No prostitution or trafficking. You may not use the Service in connection with prostitution, escorting, commercial sexual services, or human trafficking of any kind. This conduct is prohibited absolutely and may be reported to law enforcement.

5.4 No circumventing our payment systems. You may not solicit or arrange payments that are designed to evade the Service's official Coins, Gifting, and payout systems, including requests to pay a Creator directly to unlock content or continue an interaction that violates these Guidelines. (For the Modeling Marketplace, direct Creator-to-client gig payments are handled outside the App under the separate Modeling Marketplace Terms; those payments are for lawful modeling/gig work only and are subject to all of these Guidelines. Glow takes no commission on, does not custody, and does not adjudicate disputes over those payments.)

5.5 No spam solicitation. You may not send bulk, repetitive, or automated messages, follows, or Gifts, or use the Service primarily to advertise unrelated goods, services, schemes, or promotions.

6. Absolute Prohibition: Minors and CSAM

6.1 No minors, ever. No Minor may appear in, be depicted in, be referenced sexually in, or participate in any Content. This includes real minors, people who appear to be minors, and stylized, animated, "age-play," or AI-generated depictions of minors in any sexual or sexualized context.

6.2 Zero tolerance for CSAM. CSAM is strictly prohibited and is illegal. Glow has no discretion to tolerate it.

6.3 Detection and mandatory reporting. As described in the Safety & Moderation Policy and Privacy Policy, Glow uses automated detection (including PhotoDNA hash-matching) across the Service, including the safety floor applied to Private Sessions. Where CSAM is detected or credibly reported, Glow will, consistent with its legal obligations: (a) preserve the relevant evidence and account records rather than delete them; (b) report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States and to Cybertip.ca in Canada; and (c) cooperate with law enforcement. These records are retained even after account deletion (see Section 13).

6.4 Grooming and endangerment. Any attempt to contact, solicit, sexualize, or arrange to meet a Minor, and any content that sexualizes minors or facilitates child endangerment, is prohibited and will be treated under this Section.

7. Prohibited Conduct (General)

In addition to the rules above, you may not do, post, or facilitate any of the following on or through the Service:

7.1 Non-consensual and privacy-violating content.

7.2 Impersonation and identity abuse.

7.3 Harassment, hate, and threats.

7.4 Violence, self-harm, and dangerous acts.

7.5 Illegal and regulated goods and activity.

7.6 Intellectual property and legal violations.

7.7 Platform integrity and security.

7.8 Misuse of AI-generated content. AI-generated or synthetic Content must comply with all of these Guidelines. It may not be used to create prohibited content (including anything under Sections 4, 6, and 7.1–7.2) or to deceive Users about who they are interacting with.

8. Rules for Creators

8.1 Verification is mandatory. To act as a Creator you must be 18+ and complete identity ("ID") and liveness (face) verification through our third-party provider (currently AWS), and provide the separate, explicit consent described in the Biometric Data & Verification Consent and Retention Schedule. You may not stream, host Private Sessions, or receive payouts without completing verification.

8.2 One face, one account. Verification supports a one-face-one-account standard and a face-based ban index. You may not operate multiple Creator accounts tied to the same person to evade limits or bans, and you may not lend, sell, or transfer your account or verified identity to anyone else.

8.3 You are responsible for your streams. You are responsible for everyone who appears in your Content. Do not feature any person who is not 18+ and verified where required, and never feature anyone who has not consented to appear. Do not let guests or off-camera participants cause your stream to violate these Guidelines.

8.4 Independent contractor. You act as an independent contractor and control your own schedule and lawful content choices within these Guidelines. Nothing in these Guidelines creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship with Glow. See the Creator Agreement.

8.5 Earnings and payouts. Coins spent on your Content convert to earnings at the applicable revenue share (currently 70% of gross, subject to change under the Creator Agreement), paid via Stripe Connect. Glow may withhold, reverse, freeze, or deny payouts associated with Content or conduct that violates these Guidelines, with fraud, or with unresolved abuse investigations, as permitted by the Creator Agreement and applicable law.

8.6 No directing prohibited conduct. You may not solicit, accept payment for, or perform prohibited conduct, including in response to a Viewer's Gifts, tips, Coins, or requests. A Viewer paying you does not authorize any exception to these Guidelines.

9. Rules for Private Sessions, Paid DMs, and Gifts

9.1 Private does not mean unmoderated. Private Sessions and Paid DMs are subject to these Guidelines in full. They are governed by a safety floor described in the Safety & Moderation Policy, which includes a Report-triggered evidence buffer and CSAM hash-scanning. They are not a zero-oversight space and are not a venue for content or solicitation these Guidelines prohibit.

9.2 Consent and conduct in 1:1 sessions. Both participants must follow these Guidelines. Either participant may end a session, Report the other, and block the other at any time. Requesting, offering, or performing Explicit Sexual Content or solicitation in a Private Session is a serious violation (Sections 4–6).

9.3 Gifts and Coins. Gifts are voluntary and are spent using Coins. Coins are a limited, non-refundable, non-transferable license to in-app features and are not money, stored value, or redeemable for cash; unused Coins expire approximately 12 months after purchase. See the Coins Terms. Do not use Gifts or Coins to induce or reward prohibited conduct.

9.4 No coercive or deceptive monetization. You may not use pressure, deception, fake scarcity, or false promises to extract Coins, Gifts, or payments (for example, promising content you will not or cannot lawfully provide).

10. Reporting and Blocking

10.1 Report anywhere. Reporting tools are available throughout the Service — on public streams, Shorts, profiles, Paid DMs, and Private Sessions. If you see a violation, Report it. For suspected CSAM or imminent harm, Report immediately; you may also contact support@glowsocial.app and, where appropriate, local law enforcement.

10.2 Block anywhere. You may block any User. Blocking prevents further contact and interaction between you and that User on the Service.

10.3 Hard-block threshold → permaban. A "hard block" is a strong Report-and-block signal against a Creator. When a Creator is hard-blocked by a threshold number of distinct Creators ("N," set by Glow and adjustable), that Creator is subject to a permanent ban (permaban) and a face-pinned ban (Section 12).

10.4 Good-faith reporting. Report in good faith. Do not file false, retaliatory, coordinated, or automated Reports. Abuse of the reporting system is itself a violation (Section 7.7) and may result in an Enforcement Action.

10.5 How we handle Reports. Glow uses a combination of automated systems and human review to assess Reports. Public streams and Shorts are subject to automated and human moderation; Private Sessions and Paid DMs are subject to the safety floor. See the Safety & Moderation Policy for detail. We do not guarantee review outcomes or timing, and we may prioritize by severity.

11. How We Moderate

11.1 Layered moderation. Glow moderates through: (a) automated detection (including CSAM hash-matching such as PhotoDNA and other signals); (b) human review of Public Content and of escalated Reports; and (c) the Private Session safety floor (Report-triggered evidence buffer plus CSAM hash-scanning).

11.2 Evidence handling. When a Report or automated signal is triggered, Glow may capture, preserve, and review relevant evidence to investigate and enforce these Guidelines, and to meet legal obligations. Handling and retention of this data are described in the Privacy Policy, the Safety & Moderation Policy, and the Biometric Data & Verification Consent and Retention Schedule.

11.3 No guarantee of detection. Moderation reduces harm but is not perfect. The absence of an Enforcement Action does not mean Content complies with these Guidelines, and Glow may act on a violation at any time after it occurs.

11.4 Marketplace disputes are hands-off. Glow moderates conduct on the Service, but does not custody Modeling Marketplace gig funds and does not adjudicate gig or payment disputes between Creators and clients. Those are handled under the Modeling Marketplace Terms. Conduct that violates these Guidelines, however, remains enforceable regardless of where payment occurs.

12. Enforcement Ladder

12.1 Range of actions. Depending on the nature, severity, frequency, and intent of a violation, and on a User's history, Glow may take one or more of the following Enforcement Actions:

12.2 General escalation. For lower-severity, first-time violations, Glow will generally start lower on the ladder (for example, a warning or content action) and escalate with repetition or severity. Glow is not required to proceed in order and may apply any action, up to and including a permaban and face-pinned ban, immediately where warranted.

12.3 Immediate permaban offenses. Certain violations result in immediate permanent ban and a face-pinned ban, and may trigger legal reporting, without prior warning. These include, without limitation: CSAM or any Section 6 violation; sexual solicitation of, or contact with, a Minor; non-consensual sexual content; credible threats of serious violence; trafficking or prostitution; and serious fraud or security attacks. Reaching the hard-block threshold (N) under Section 10.3 also results in a permaban.

12.4 Ban evasion. Creating or using a new or additional account after a suspension or ban, or otherwise evading an Enforcement Action, is itself a violation and will result in termination of the new account and reinforcement of the ban (including the face-pinned ban).

12.5 Effect on Coins and earnings. If your account is terminated for a violation: Coins are forfeited to the extent permitted by the Coins Terms and applicable law (Coins are non-refundable and are not money); and Creator earnings may be withheld or forfeited as permitted by the Creator Agreement. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of Coins.

12.6 Discretion and consistency. Glow applies these Guidelines using reasonable judgment and may weigh context, intent, and risk. Glow does not waive its rights by declining to act in any instance.

13. Appeals

13.1 How to appeal. Except where prohibited by law, you may appeal most Enforcement Actions by contacting support@glowsocial.app within the time stated in the App or notice. Explain what happened and include any relevant information.

13.2 What we review. Glow will review timely appeals in good faith and may uphold, reduce, or reverse the action. Decisions on the most serious matters — including CSAM, child endangerment, threats of violence, and legally mandated actions — may be final and non-appealable.

13.3 Legal preservation is not reversible. Even if an account action is reversed, records that Glow is legally required to retain (including CSAM/abuse evidence and the ban/identity reference) will not be deleted. See Section 14.

14. Account Deletion and Retained Records

14.1 You may delete your account. Account deletion is available in the App. Deletion removes or de-identifies your profile and Content as described in the Privacy Policy.

14.2 Legal-obligation exception. Deletion does not erase certain records that Glow must retain to meet legal obligations and to keep the Service safe, including: (a) the one-way, non-reversible ban/identity (face) reference used for the ban index; and (b) abuse and CSAM records and related evidence required to be preserved and reported. These records are retained under the legal-obligation exception described in the Privacy Policy and the Biometric Data & Verification Consent and Retention Schedule, even after your account is deleted.

14.3 Deletion does not stop enforcement. Deleting your account does not prevent Glow from completing an investigation, reporting to authorities, or maintaining a face-pinned ban.

15. Relationship to Law and Platform Rules

15.1 Legal compliance. You must comply with all laws that apply to you when using the Service. These Guidelines are additional to, and do not replace, your legal obligations.

15.2 Apple and app-store rules. Because the App is distributed through the Apple App Store and uses Apple In-App Purchase for Coins, you must also comply with Apple's applicable requirements. Where Apple's rules are stricter than these Guidelines, the stricter rule applies.

15.3 No legal advice; nothing waived. These Guidelines describe platform rules and are not legal advice to any User. Glow reserves all rights not expressly granted.

16. Contact

Questions, reports, or appeals: support@glowsocial.app. For emergencies or suspected imminent harm, contact your local emergency services. For suspected child exploitation, you may also contact NCMEC (United States) or Cybertip.ca (Canada) directly.
